Three Brooklyn men were caught breaking into a Long Island gas station and attempting another burglary nearby, police said Friday, March 27.
Edwin Rodriguez, 20; William Taft, 19; and Shamel Stilley, 24, were all arrested early Thursday morning after they stole a cash register from a gas station at 1 Powerhouse Road in Roslyn Heights, the Nassau County Police Department said.
The three men smashed a glass door around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, March 26 to enter the building, cops said. They were arrested shortly afterward, according to authorities.

Hicksville Man Punched, Bit 68-Year-Old During Nighttime Brawl: Cops
A young Long Island man bit and beat a 68-year-old man during an altercation in Hicksville, authorities said Friday, March 27.
Alejandro Adorno, a 21-year-old Hicksville resident, was arguing with the elderly man around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26 before things turned violent, the Nassau County Police Department said.
Adorno then punched the older man multiple times with a closed fist, knocking him to the ground, cops said. He then bit the man’s ear and arm, according to investigators.
