A former NYPD officer and current Long Island soccer coach recently underwent “miracle” brain surgery in Colombia, but he still faces a long road to recovery, his friends and family said in an online fundraiser.
Gregory Fink, now a coach at Southampton Town United, was battling a 9mm by 14mm brain aneurysm and brain bleeding before the surgery, according to an Instagram post on his account.
Fink underwent emergency surgery on Saturday, March 21 in Cartagena, Colombia, according to a GoFundMe created for his family.
