New Greenwich Club Helps Train Triathletes GREENWICH, Conn. – Steve Kurczewski and his team at Elite Health Services in Greenwich are taking the next step toward helping triathletes reach their goals. Kensett Darien Strikes Chord With Home Buyers DARIEN, Conn. – Home buyers came out in a big way at Kensett in Darien late last month. Ten homes, representing $15 million in sales, came under contract in the last few weeks of April. “Sometimes there’s a signal that goes out that only buyers can sense that this is the time to buy,’’ said developer Bill McGuinness. “There has been a lot of pent up demand. Redding Road Race Is A Quick Hit Among Runners REDDING, Conn. – In just its second year, the Ola! Foods Redding Road Race has become a must-run. Even race director John McCleary is surprised at the race’s popularity. “I’m kind of a dreamer, but I never thought it would be as good as it has turned out,’’ McCleary said. “The response from the running community has been tremendous. Race Against Lyme In Stamford Nets $27K STAMFORD, Conn. – Nearly 300 runners and walkers participated in the Race Against Lyme on Sunday at Cove Island Park in Stamford. The race raised $27,000 for the Lyme Research Alliance, which helps to raise awareness about the escalating incidence of Lyme and other tick-borne diseases. LRA is the leading nonprofit that funds research into Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses. Jacob Grice of Stamford won the 5K race in 16:19, the second straight year he finished first. Greenwich's Will McHale Headed To Saints Mini-Camp GREENWICH, Conn. – Greenwich’s Will McHale has been invited to the New Orleans Saints mini-camp from May 10 to 12, according to a release on the Yale University football website. McHale, a linebacker, led Yale with 78 tackles and started every game for the team last season. He was elected team captain and earned All Ivy-honors as a junior and academic All-Ivy honors as a senior.
