Harvey School Girls Lacrosse Falls To Watkinson KATONAH, N.Y. – Harvey School’s girls lacrosse team lost to Watkinson of West Hartford on Saturday, 19-12. Audrey Rowe had four goals and three assists for Harvey, while Abby Hassett had three goals. Brittany Smith added a pair. Other standouts for the Cavaliers included Tiaja Downer, Sammy Aloi and Alex Penella. Watkinson led 8-5 late in the first half before erupting for five unanswered goals to take a 13-5 halftime lead. Harvey, which was missing four starters, outscored Watkinson 7-6 in the second half. Harvey next hosts Forman on Wednesday at 3.30.

5k Run Scheduled for Sunday In Yorktown Heights YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – The Mental Health Association of Westchester will conduct a 5-kilometer race on Sunday, May 5, at FDR State Park in Yorktown Heights, N.Y. There is also a one mile kids race and a 5k walk. Registration is available online. Registration and check-in begins at 8 a.m. The kids race starts at 9 a.m., and the 5k begins at 9:45. Darien's Devin Burke Shows Finishing Kick At Virginia Tech DARIEN, Conn. – Darien’s Devin Burke is saving his best for last as a pitcher on the Virginia Tech baseball team. Burke was 6-3 with a 3.59 ERA entering the weekend, and led the team in wins. He had one of the best starts of his career on April 21 when he pitched a complete-game five-hitter in a 3-2 win over Maryland. Norwalk's Sciglimpaglia Sisters Star At St. Joseph Softball NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk’s Mary Sciglimpaglia, a freshman on the softball team at the University of St. Joseph in Hartford, was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week. Sciglimpaglia hit .520 with nine RBIs for the week ending April 21. St. Joseph’s season ended Saturday when it was eliminated in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference playoffs. Wilton Wahoo Masters Swimmers Strike Gold WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton Y Masters men's swim team came in sixth place in the 2013 Masters Short Course YMCA Nationals in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The women's team came in seventh and the combined team came in eighth. Pete Holmquist was a member of the 45-and-over mixed 200 free relay, which broke a national record with a time of 1:36.14.
