Autistic East Orange Man Missing: Police A 30-year-old East Orange man is missing, authorities announced Monday, Oct. 20. At 11 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19, John Joseph Peel, Jr. walked away from 282 North Clinton St. in East Orange wearing a gray sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and black sneakers, East Orange police said. Peel is 5'8" and weighs 200 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes, police said. Peel has been diagnosed with  Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Sensory Processing Disorder. At 8:30 a.m., Travon Gantt was operating a gray Nissan when he displayed firearm, threatening to shoot another driver while traveling on Route 3 East, Secaucus police said. Man Killed In Route 79 Crash After Striking Telephone Pole: Marlboro PD A man was killed in a crash on Route 79 in Marlboro after he struck a telephone pole on Saturday, Oct. 18, authorities said. At 10:45 p.m., officers responded after a Honda Accord struck the telephone pole, causing the pole and utility wires to block the roadway, Marlboro police said. Man Gunned Down In Camden: Police A 29-year-old Camden man was fatally shot on Saturday, Oct 18, authorities said. At 1:50 p.m., police responded to the 1200 block of Morton Street and found a man, later identified as Bruce Dixon, with gunshot wounds, Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez said. Dixon was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead soon after, authorities said. The investigation is active and ongoing, authorities said.
