One Hospitalized After Vehicle Overturns: Bay Head PD One person was hospitalized after a vehicle overturned in a crash in Bay Head on Wednesday, Feb. 4, authorities said. At 11:30 a.m., officers responded to a two-car crash at Main Avenue and Harris Street, Bay Head police said. Occupants from both vehicles were assisted out by responding officers, police said.  One occupant was transported to the hospital for evaluation, police said. Both vehicles were towed from the scene, police said.

Man Killed In Deadly Newark Shooting: Prosecutor A 29-year-old man was shot and killed in Newark on Wednesday, Feb. 4, authorities said. At 7 p.m., officers on Bergen Street were approached by an unidentified woman who reported a man had been shot, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens II and Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda said. Officers located Alkadeem Dortch  on the 800 block of Bergen Street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, authorities said. He was taken to University Hospital where he was soon pronounced dead, authorities said. The shooting remains under investigation, authorities said.
