Ruth A. Walter, 92, Of Mount Vernon
MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Ruth A. Walter, of Mount Vernon, died Sunday, Oct. 18. She was 92.
Walter was born March 28, 1923, in Mount Vernon, to George and Antoinette Bruno.
She was predeceased by her husband John in 2001 and her sister Dorothy Bruno.
Walter is survived by brother, Richard Bruno; nieces, Marianne Missler, Joanne Antonaccio and Bernadette Goodman; and great nieces, Dorothy Troiano, Joanne Antonaccio, Doreen Antonaccio, Kim Berry and Denise Bongiorno; great nephew, Peter Berry.
She enjoyed life with her husband John and was dedicated to caring for her brother Richard.

Peter R. Jones, 57, Of Rye
RYE, N.Y. -- Peter Robert Jones, of Rye, died Thursday, Oct. 15 from cancer. He was 57.
Jones was born in the Bronx, N.Y., in 1958 and grew up in Old Bridge and Northvale, N.J. He later lived in White Plains, where he met his future wife, Diane Gasser, before moving to Rye in 1998.
Jones shared his love of travel with his wife. Together, they traveled across Europe, South Africa, Australia and the United States. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants and enjoyed cycling and golfing throughout his life.
