Police Investigate Murder-Suicide Of Husband, Wife In Sloatsburg
SLOATSBURG, N.Y. -- Ramapo Police are investigating the deaths of two persons, a possible murder-suicide at an Adam Court residence on Wednesday, according to reports.Police were called to the area in the later morning after reports of shots being fired from a concerned friend of William Groesbeck, according to News 12.
An initial investigation revealed the 69-year-old Groesbeck shot himself and his wife, Patricia, 64, the report said.
Groesbeck is a retired Ramsey, N.J., police officer.

GARFIELD, N.J. -- George E. Doughty, of Garfield, died Tuesday, Oct. 13. He was 72.
Doughty is survived by his wife, Joyce (Zawilski); children Patricia Joyce (Brian), of Woodland Park, Laura Dunning (Scott), of Garfield and George Jr. (Sue), of Elmwood Park; grandchildren, Dave and Kristie Joyce, Matthew and Shaun Dunning and Steven Doughty; brother, James, of Virginia Beach and Edna Doughty of Fla.

Stella Jarmolowitz Hosbach, 99, Formerly Of Hackensack
HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Jarmolowitz Hosbach, of Lumberton, formerly of Hackensack, died Wednesday, Oct. 7. She was 99.
Hosbach was born and lived most of her life in Hackensack. Prior to retiring, she worked for Airoil Company of South Hackensack.
Hosbach was a member of the South Hackensack Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the South Hackensack Senior Citizens Club, a volunteer at Hackensack University Medical Center and a parishioner of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Hackensack.
She was predeceased by her husband Henry (Harry) Hosbach in 1981.

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Doris Marie Salerno, of White Plains, died Oct. 18, 2015, at White Plains Hospital. She was 85.
Salerno was born Oct. 1, 1930, at St. Agnes Hospital in White Plains to Thomas and Dorothy (Austin) McAvoy. She was married to her husband Michael A. Salerno in Scarsdale on Oct. 15, 1950; he predeceased her June 9, 2004.
Salerno had various volunteer positions in the White Plains public school system, and also worked as a secretary for The Holy Child School in Rye. She was a dedicated homemaker, avid reader, quilter and history buff.
