Traffic has been slowed in Northern Westchester as a result of several incidents. Delays were about 10 minutes on the Hudson and Harlem lines, according to the Metro-North website. Service was restored late Thursday night, more than three hours after a computer problem shut down all Metro-North. Metro-North Reports Short Delays Friday Morning In Fairfield County FAIRFIELD COUNTY, N.Y. – Metro-North reported about 10 minute delays on its New Haven line Friday morning, less than 12 hours after the trains came to a grinding halt. Service was re-stored late Thursday night, more than three hours after a computer problem shut down all Metro-North. Trains were running close to schedule on Friday morning except on the Danbury line, where commuters had to take a bus to the South Norwalk branch. There were no major traffic tie-ups report on Friday morning for drivers.

A snapped catenary wire caused a train to become disabled Wednesday night between the Greens Farms and Westport stations. The 7:34 p.m. train from Grand Central Terminal was stopped in its tracks at 8:51 p.m. with about 200 passengers on board. A rescue train from New Haven became delayed due to a switch failure.
