Swatting Hoax Hits Princeton Library: Police Princeton Public Library was the victim of a swatting hoax on Thursday, Aug. 28, authorities said. Officers responded to the library at 65 Witherspoon St. for a report of a person with a gun, Princeton police said. Officers searched the area, did not locate anyone and confirmed the report was not credible and a hoax, police said. "These incidents are disruptive, create unnecessary fear, and divert critical public safety resources away from genuine emergencies," Princeton police said.

19-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Deadly Trenton Shooting: Prosecutor A 19-year-old Trenton resident was fatally shot, authorities announced Thursday, Aug. 28. On Friday, Aug. 22, at 12:39 a.m., Trenton police responded to a ShotSpotter detection at 251 Centre St., the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said. Officers found Tommy Febles unresponsive after being shot in the head, authorities said. Febles was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made, authorities said.

Ground Stop Issued For Arrivals At Newark Airport A ground stop has been issued for incoming flights into Newark Liberty International Airport Thursday, Aug. 28, according to reports. The ground stop was ordered due to air traffic control communication issues, ABC News reported. Controllers in the center told ABC News they had lost their radio frequencies. NJ Man Airlifted After Tree Falls On Him While Operating Tractor: Montgomery PD A 76-year-old man was hospitalized after a tree fell on him on Wednesday, Aug. 27, authorities said. At 4:26 p.m., the man was operating a tractor in a wooded area at Hollow Road near Servis Road when a tree fell on him, pinning him to the tractor, Montgomery police said. The Montgomery police side-by-side utility vehicle was utilized to assist transporting rescue workers to the patient, and transport the patient out of the woods, law enforcement said. The man was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, police said.
