At 12:51 a.m., troopers responded to Route 280 west in Newark after a Kia passenger vehicle struck the pedestrian who was walking in the travel lanes, Christopher Postorino, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. Truck Driver Injured In Route 78 Crash: Njsp A truck driver was injured following a crash on Route 78 in Somerset County on Saturday, Dec. 13, authorities said. At 10:23 a.m., a crash occurred between a Toyota sedan and a Freightliner tractor trailer in Bernards Township, Christopher Postorino, a spokesman for the New Jersey State police said.
