Jersey City Man Sent Explicit Messages To Child: Prosecutor A 40-year-old Jersey City man was arrested and charged with sending explicit messages to a juvenile, authorities announced Tuesday, Dec. 16. An investigation into Stanley Ruiz began after the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received information that he had sent explicit messages and images to a girl through Discord, Acting Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello said. The girl, who lives in another country, identified herself as a child to the defendant multiple times, Mello said. Ruiz is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and lewdness, Mello said.
