PA Man Killed In NYE Crash While Making U-Turn: Vineland PD A 41-year-old Pennsylvania man was killed in a crash on New Year's Eve in Vineland, authorities said. At 9:18 p.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 31, officers responded to North Delsea Drive and Columbia Avenue after a man, later identified as Lance Warren, a Drexel Hill resident, operating a Chrysler 300 was making a U-Turn near Columbia Avenue when he was struck by a Chevrolet Camaro, operated by a Pittsgrove man, Vineland police. At 8:40 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1, police responded after a man was driven to a nearby hospital by a concerned citizen after being shot at Isabella Avenue and South Orange Avenue, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda said. Raritan Twp Home Engulfed In Flames On New Year's: FD A garage fire caused a Raritan Township home to be engulfed in flames on New Year's Day, authorities said. On Thursday, Jan. 1, firefighters reported to a garage fire at a home on Thatchers Hill Road, the Raritan Township Fire Company said. Firefighters were met with heavy conditions as the fire extended into the home, fire officials said. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control, limiting the damage to the remainder of the structure, all while operating in sub-freezing temperatures, fire officials said.

Man Displayed Badge While Filming Girls At Starbucks: Denville PD A 57-year-old Rockaway Township man was arrested and charged with impersonating a police officer at Starbucks in Denville, authorities announced Friday, Jan. 2. At 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30, officers responded to Starbucks at 28 W. Main St. after a man, later identified as Roger Walker, was using his phone to record and photograph girls inside the store, Denville police said. Several witnesses said Walker falsely identified himself as a police officer and displayed a badge, police said.
