An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Man Missing In Plainfield: Police A man has been missing in Plainfield since Friday, Jan. 24, authorities said. Connor Oldfield was last seen at 1:30 p.m. in the area of Watson Avenue, Plainfield Police said. Oldfield is a Black man who is 5'8" and weighs 165 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes with a scar on his forehead, police said. He was last seen wearing yellow, black, and gray camouflage fleece pajamas and a gray zip-up jacket, police said. Man Dies Shoveling Snow In Verona: Police A 67-year-old man died shoveling snow in Essex County, New Jersey on Sunday, Jan. 25, authorities said. At 12:44 p.m., officers responded to Beach Road and Martin Road for a report of a person down on the sidewalk, Verona police said. They found the man on his back unresponsive with a shovel in his hand, police said. CPR was initiated and he was transported to Mountainside Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. Rutgers Student Sexually Assaulted By Partner Inside Dorm: Police A woman was sexually assaulted inside a Rutgers dormitory in Piscataway on Saturday, Jan. 24, authorities said. The woman said she was assaulted by an intimate partner while in her residence hall, Rutgers police said. The woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at an area hospital, police said. The perpetrator, who is not affiliated with Rutgers University, is known, and charges were filed as a result of this incident, however the perpetrator is not in custody, police said.

US Marshals Bust Philly Fugitive In High Bridge: Prosecutor A 25-year-old Philadelphia fugitive was arrested in High Bridge by US Marshals on Thursday, Jan. 22, authorities said. James Robinson-Burton was taken into custody at a residence in High Bridge and charged with multiple weapons offenses after U.S. Marshals found a semiautomatic handgun in the place where he was found, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée Robeson and High Bridge Police Chief Brett Bartman said. Prosecutors did not say what Robinson-Burton was originally wanted for. He is being held at the Warren County Jail pending a pretrial detention hearing, authorities said.

NYC Woman Missing In Deptford: Police A 22-year-old New York City woman is missing in Deptford, authorities announced Sunday, Jan. 25. Sarah Sitorus was last seen in the area of Good Intent Road and Warwick Road on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m., West Deptford police said. She was observed entering a silver SUV as a passenger, police said. Sitorus is 5'2" and weighs 120 lbs. and was wearing a pink sweater, police said.
