Pedestrian Critical After Struck By Vehicle On Route 9 In Howell: Prosecutor A 77-year-old Howell Township man is in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle on Route 9 on the early morning of Tuesday, Jan. 7, authorities said. At 4:51 a.m., Howell Township police responded to Route 9 and Strickland Road after a driver, who was traveling southbound in the right lane of Route 9, collided with the man,  Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said. The man remains hospitalized with multiple injuries, Santiago said. The driver remained on scene and was cooperative with law enforcement officers, Santiago said.

Car Crashes Into Scaffolding At Apartment Complex In New Rochelle (Developing) Firefighters and emergency responders raced to an apartment building in Westchester after a vehicle collided with scaffolding near an entrance.  The incident happened on Monday, Dec. 30 just after noon, when the vehicle crashed into scaffolding at the Faymor Gardens apartment complex in New Rochelle at 140 Pelham Rd., fire buff Domenic Ramacciato told Daily Voice.  The crash caused damage to the scaffolding.
