Stamford Man Crashed Into Pedestrian On Purpose, Left Them Hospitalized: Police
A Connecticut man is facing serious charges after police said he intentionally hit a pedestrian with his SUV before speeding away, authorities said.
Jeremiah Vizzo, 43, of Stamford, turned himself in to police on Monday, April 7, and was being held on a court-set $75,000 bond, authorities said.
Police accused Vizzo of crashing his Lexus SUV into a 57-year-old Stamford resident in the 400 block of West Main Street around 7 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16. He allegedly drove off, leaving the victim seriously injured on the road.

A Canadian man was killed in killed in a three-vehicle crash on Route 78 in Hunterdon County on the afternoon of Sunday, April 6, authorities said.
At 4:46 p.m., a vehicle crashed into a Ford F-150 pulling a camper on Route 78 eastbound in Bethlehem Township, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.
The Ford traveled onto the right shoulder, where it crashed into a Peterbilt semi-trailer, Lebron said. The vehicle continued traveling eastbound , Lebron said.

Home Catches Fire After Car Crash: Manalapan PD
A vehicle crashed into a home, causing it to be set ablaze on the morning of Tuesday, April 1 in Manalapan, authorities said.
At 5:02 a.m., a car crashed into a home on Craig Road near Symmes Drive, and the home then caught on fire, Manalapan police said.
The driver of the vehicle was removed by passing motorists, and was transported to an area hospital, police said. A person inside the house was safely removed, police said, and firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze, police said.
The incident remains under investigation, police said.
