Maryland health officials are warning travelers after a child with a confirmed case of measles passed through the state while infectious, potentially exposing others on trains and airport shuttles, authorities said.
The Maryland Department of Health said it was notified of the case after the individual traveled through Maryland late Wednesday night, Jan. 7, into the early morning hours of Thursday, Jan. 8, while contagious.
According to health officials, potential exposures in Maryland were limited to public transportation tied to Washington, DC, and BWI Airport.
