Driver, 26, Killed In Fiery East Rutherford Turnpike Toll Plaza Crash
A 26-year-old driver was killed in a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike overnight, authorities said. The Summit driver was heading west in a Toyota on the highway's Interchange 16W exit when he struck the toll plaza concrete abutment and overturned around 3:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 21 in East Rutherford, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan said. It happened near milepost 112.7, where the vehicle erupted in flames, Marchan said. The driver died as a result of the crash, which remains under investigation.

An Ohio man is facing charges after leading a high-speed pursuit through Stafford County Saturday, Jan. 14, police said. Deputy J.W. Ahern tried to stop a Toyota Sequoia headed west on Garrisonville Road near Eustace Road for not having any rear lights around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said in a release. A 3-year-old child and woman died in an Upper Merion crash overnight, authorities said. The child was in a Toyota sedan heading east on Valley Forge Park Road and County Line Road that veered off the roadway and struck a tree around 1:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, Upper Merion police said. The front seat passenger, a woman, was found dead and a 3-year-old child had been removed from the vehicle by the driver.
