NJ Man Arrested For Denville Bank Robbery: Prosecutor
A 65-year-old Hackettstown man was arrested and charged with robbing a bank in Denville on Monday, March 23, authorities said.
At 3:58 p.m., officers responded to Bank of America at 125 E. Main St. after a man, later identified as Jason Perlett, entered the bank branch, handed the teller a note demanding money, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, Morris County Sheriff James Gannon, Denville Township Police Chief Scott Welsch, and Roxbury Police Chief Matthew Holland said.

Two Essex County Corrections Officers Die By Suicide On Same Day
Two Essex County corrections officers died by suspected suicide on the same day, authorities confirmed.
Officer Joey Hernandez's death occurred outside the Essex County Jail, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said, while Sgt. Joseph Trezza committed suicide in Roxbury, according to Carmen Martin, a spokesperson for the ECPO.
Both deaths happened on Tuesday, May 6 but are unrelated, Martin said.

Authorities have identified the victim killed in a Morris County passenger van crash as a 30-year-old Bergen County woman and charged the 33-year-old driver.
Alexander Serrano, 33, also of East Rutherford, was driving the 2003 Chevy Express van when it struck a tree around 5:30 a.m. on Monday, April 28, at the intersection of Howard Boulevard and Ledgewood Road/Mt. Arlington Road, according to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

New Jersey State Police responded to the eastbound lanes near milepost 32.2 at 6:10 p.m. in Roxbury, after a Subaru SUV, Honda SUV, Mazda passenger car, and Volvo tractor-trailer collided, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron.
