Racing Motorcyclist, 29, Killed In Westchester Crash, State Police Say New York State Police reported that racing motorcycles in Westchester County led to the death of one motorcyclist. The crash took place at 1 a.m., Friday, Aug. 13 after state police responded to a report of motorcycles racing on I-87 northbound, in the city of Yonkers, said Trooper Tara McCormick. Moments later, troopers received an additional call that a motorcycle was down due to a crash, just a half-mile away from where they were initially observed. The accident happened in the 1st block of South Broad Street. The area between South Broad, Main and Orange streets has been closed and "will be for quite awhile, please avoid the area," say local police. The truck also hit a car when it veered off the road. Minor injuries were reported by both drivers. No pedestrians were in the area when the crash occurred. It is unknown what caused the crash.

A car was traveling north on Route 183 when the driver, identified as a 31-year-old Matthew Clemens, of Florida, lost control and hit the bridge near Shartlesville Road and New Schafferstown Road just before 10:30 a.m., according to WFMZ. Elderly Woman Struck, Killed By Teen Driver While Crawling On Lehigh County Road An elderly woman who was crawling on a road in front of her Lehigh County home was pronounced dead Friday after she was struck by a car driven by a teenager, authorities said. Ethel M. Haas, 83, was crawling on the road in front of her Clearview Road home in North Whitehall Township when a 17-year-old boy driving a 2016 Honda Civic, struck her around 10:35 p.m., according to Pennsylvania State Police. The impact pushed Haas' body 15 to 20 feet before stopping near the fog line on the opposite side of the roadway, police said. Police did not identify the 17-year-old driver.
