A Connecticut man is facing serious charges after a chaotic scene in Lisbon, after police say he broke into a home, stole a firearm, and assaulted an elderly person, authorities said.
Michael Grenier, 36, of Enfield, was first introduced to police on Sunday, June 29, when someone called officers to report a man screaming at passing vehicles on Kimball Road around 7:30 p.m., Connecticut State Police said.
While on the way, troopers learned that the man might have been involved in a violent incident at a nearby home, one involving a gun.

A Hempstead man was arrested after allegedly riding a scooter without lights and fighting off officers as they discovered he had a loaded gun in Uniondale, Nassau County police announced on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
Selvin Watts, 42, of Brown Avenue, was stopped on an electric scooter at 12:15 a.m. on Argyle Avenue near Nassau Road, according to First Squad Detectives.
Police say the scooter had no lights, prompting a traffic stop with emergency lights and sirens. During the investigation, officers attempted to arrest Watts, who they say became combative and violent while resisting arrest.

A 25-year-old Camden man was convicted on Wednesday, June 25, of committing two gunpoint robberies in a Collingswood apartment building, authorities said.
On Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, shortly before 6 p.m., Jaquis Burton forced his way into an apartment in the Parkview Towers in Collingswood while armed with a firearm, Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay said.
Burton restrained two women and two children, 3 and 9, at gunpoint and demanded money, MacAulay said. He pistol-whipped one of the women, causing significant injuries, MacAulay said.

A 19-year-old Galloway resident was arrested and charged with stealing a car following a vehicle pursuit in Absecon on Monday, June 23, authorities said.
Officers received a report of a stolen motor vehicle from Pine Street, Absecon police said. At 3 p.m., an officer observed the stolen vehicle traveling near 10th Avenue and Spring Lane, police said.
