A Lancaster County man admitted to violently attacking three police officers — punching, scratching, and spitting on them — during an early morning incident outside his Mount Joy Township home earlier this year, authorities announced on Thursday, Nov. 6.
Thomas J. Hackman, 65, pleaded guilty on Oct. 27 to aggravated assault, three counts of assaulting a law enforcement officer, and resisting arrest, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office.

A Brooklyn man is accused of biting an officer while resisting arrest at Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, Nassau County police announced on Wednesday, Oct. 15.
Detectives said officers responded to a trespassing call at the mall on Old Country Road at 7:43 p.m. When they arrived, they found Michael Dubrow, 54, of Chestnut Street, who had previously been banned from the property.
When officers attempted to arrest Dubrow in the parking lot, he became combative, resisted, and bit an officer on the shoulder, according to police. Dubrow was then taken into custody without further incident.

A 20-year-old Elizabeth man was arrested and charged after he was caught entering multiple vehicles in New Providence, authorities announced Tuesday, Sept. 23.
At 11:44 a.m., officers responded to Deerfield Road after a suspect, later identified as Saleem Martins, was observed entering three vehicles, New Providence police said.

Jason Franco, 34, of Bellmore, was involved in a domestic disturbance at a North Bellmore home on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 4:40 p.m., according to police.
