Car Collides With School Bus, Sending Children, Driver To Hospital In Somers
A crash between a school bus and a car in Northern Westchester sent several people to the hospital, police said. The collision happened just before 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, in the area of Route 202 and Old Croton Falls Road in Somers, according to New York State Police Trooper Krystal Paolicelli. Four people aboard the bus — three children and the driver — were transported to a hospital with minor, non-life-threatening injuries. Fourteen children were riding the bus at the time of the crash. One person was taken to a hospital after a motorcycle and a car collided in Orange County. The crash happened on Wednesday evening, Sept. 17, on Front Street in Port Jervis near Sussex Street, according to the Port Jervis Fire Department. A 12-year-old boy is accused of stabbing his mother during an argument inside their Valley Stream home. The incident happened around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, according to Nassau County Police. A preliminary investigation concluded that the boy and his 48-year-old mother were arguing inside their residence when the dispute escalated.
