99-Year-Old Woman Fled Scene After Striking Cyclist: Jamesburg PD
A 99-year-old woman left the scene of a crash after striking an 80-year-old cyclist in Helmetta on Saturday, Nov. 8, authorities said. At 12:36 p.m., officers responded to Main Street near Old Forge Road after an 80-year-old man was struck by a vehicle, Jamesburg police said. The man was transported to a nearby hospital and is listed in critical but stable condition, police said. The driver, a 99-year-old woman fled the scene of the crash but was located by Spotswood police. The crash remains under investigation, police said.

Elderly Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Strike By Car In Long Beach
A 72-year-old man was seriously injured after being hit by a car in North Long Beach, authorities announced on Monday, Nov. 10. The crash happened when a 31-year-old man driving a 2015 Nissan was heading north on Austin Boulevard near Long Beach Road and struck the pedestrian around 8:14 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9, according to Fourth Squad detectives. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he remains in stable condition, police said. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

At 5:55 p.m., officers responded to South Avenue and Garfield Avenue for the crash, Bridgeton police said. The striking vehicle fled the scene prior to police arrival, officers said.
