A 13-year-old Northfield boy was seriously injured after crashing his bike, according to a fundraiser set up to support his family.
On Monday, Aug. 11, Cash Reggi was riding his E-bike to meet his sister at Linwood Park. While there he turned onto a bike path going too fast, causing him to crash, throwing him face first onto the pavement, Rebecca Sharra, who organized the fundraiser said.
Reggi broke his jaw in three places, lost teeth, had multiple lacerations that requited numerous stitches, and has endless scrapes and bruises.

David Martinez, who served West New York as a police officer for 25 years, died on Saturday, Aug. 16, the police department announced.
"Officer Martinez faithfully served the West New York community for 25 years with honor, dedication, and compassion," West New York police said.
Martinez died weeks away from his retirement, police said. Sources tell Daily Voice his death was sudden.

What began as a cross-country motorcycle adventure for a group of Maryland friends took a devastating turn when one rider, John Dant, was seriously injured in a crash and left stranded nearly 1,200 miles from home.

Michael Anthony Fisher, Jr., a Bordentown resident, died on Wednesday, Aug. 6, nine days before his 21st birthday on Aug. 15, after he was hit by someone making an illegal turn while he was riding his motorcycle home, his family said.
