Two men were arrested after a traffic stop on the Taconic State Parkway in Dutchess County led to police finding nearly 200 bags of fentanyl and other narcotics inside their vehicle, authorities announced.
The stop happened on Wednesday, May 14, in East Fishkill, when troopers pulled over a 2021 Jeep traveling northbound on the parkway for multiple traffic violations, New York State Police said.
The vehicle’s occupants were identified as Julio C. Tejada, age 41, and Michael Barnes, age 45, both residents of New York City.

The woman, whose name authorities were withholding, was arrested Tuesday, April 29, following an investigation by the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) and New York State Police.

Uriel Rose, age 41, of Bay Shore, was indicted on over a dozen drug charges in Suffolk County Court on Wednesday, April 30, following a 10-month investigation into his Deer Park business, “Beema Boyz.”
