A 91-year-old man was killed in a crash in Bridgewater on Sunday afternoon, May 31, authorities said.
At 4:06 p.m., officers responded to Route 22 after a white Tesla was traveling eastbound when it suddenly came to a complete stop in the center lane, Bridgewater police said. A Subaru, traveling behind the Tesla, was forced to stop, police said. A Buick traveling behind the Subaru was unable to stop and struck the back of the car, police said.

A crossing guard remains hospitalized after she was hit by a car in Parsippany last week, authorities said.
On Thursday, Jan. 29, at 3:30 p.m., officers responded to Vail Road and Redstone Drive after Denise Rocco, an on-duty uniformed Parsippany crossing guard, had been struck while attempting to stop traffic in a marked crosswalk, Parsippany police said. Rocco sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, where she continues to receive treatment.

A woman was killed in a head-on crash on Woodside Avenue East in East Patchogue, Suffolk County police announced on Monday, Jan. 12.
Rae Deprizio, 77, of Middle Island, was driving a 2014 Kia Optima westbound when her vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane and struck a 2012 Jeep Renegade at about 6:10 p.m., according to Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives.

At 6:05 p.m., officers responded to the Black Horse Pike in West Atlantic City after a 1997 Honda Odyssey traveling westbound struck a pedestrian, Nazma Khatun, in the roadway, Egg Harbor Township police said.
Khatun was transported to AtlantiCare Medical Center where she was pronounced dead, police said.

A Virginia man was killed when his disabled car was slammed by a speeding driver on I-395, state police said.
Virginia State Police said the crash happened around 2:20 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, in the southbound lanes of the interstate in Alexandria, near the three-mile marker.
According to investigators, a 2008 Toyota Corolla crashed and became disabled in the roadway.
