A Bronx man was arrested and charged with murder after a missing woman was found dead along the Saw Mill River Parkway in Yonkers, police said.
Junior Perez Diaz, 46, of 2200 Morris Avenue, was taken into custody on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 5:17 p.m. in the 46th Precinct, authorities said. He faces charges of second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, and first-degree kidnapping, the NYPD said.
The victim was identified by abc7 as Pamela Alcantara, whose family had raised more than $10,000 on a GoFundMe as of press time.

The Dumont community is mourning the loss of John P. Daly, a dedicated father, coach, and carpenter, who died on Friday, Feb. 21. He was 55 years old.
Born in the Bronx, NY, John built a career as a carpenter with Local #157 at the Bloomberg Data Center in Orangeburg, NY, according to his obituary on the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home website.
