A fatal crash has claimed the life of a teenager, authorities announced on Monday, April 20.
Connor Koontz, 18, of Fleetwood, was pronounced dead at Reading Hospital at 1:12 a.m. following a crash in Richmond Township, according to Berks County Coroner Matthew J. Stitzel.
The collision happened around 5:54 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, along Route 222 (Kutztown Road) near Schuler Road, the coroner’s office said.

Joseph Kecki, 39, of Willow Street, Pennsylvania, was killed after a collision involving two motorcycles in Upper Leacock Township, according to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office.

A Macungie man convicted of involuntary manslaughter in a deadly Allentown assault has been sentenced to state prison, District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan announced on Thursday, Jan. 22.
Hosheem Klotz, born Jan. 6, 1993, was convicted by a jury on Dec. 11, 2025, the DA said.
Klotz was sentenced to 30 to 60 months in state prison during a hearing before Judge Thomas M. Caffrey, according to the release.
He also received an additional consecutive sentence of 18 months to 59 months and 20 days for a probation violation, prosecutors said.

Sherry L. Yoh, 65, was hit near the intersection of West Penn Avenue and South Brooke Street at about 7:38 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14, according to Coroner Matthew J. Stitzel.
