WYCKOFF, N.J. — Wyckoff resident Betsy Kimmerle (Stott), formerly of Ridgewood, died Monday, May 2. She was 85.
A Patterson native, Kimmerle was a graduate of Marymount College.

John Joseph Lambe, 80, Formerly Of Dumont
DUMONT, N.J. — John “Jack” Joseph Lambe died Saturday, April 30. He was 80.
Lambe was born and raised in the Bronx, N.Y. and graduated from St. Peter and Paul School.
After serving in the U.S. Army, Lambe met his wife Marion and the two moved to Dumont to raise their family before retiring to the Jersey Shore and Florida.
He is survived by his four children, Cathy Lambe and husband Richard Fogel, Tara and husband John Reilly, Trish Lambe and James Lambe; and grandsons, Sean, Jason, Eamon, Myles and Nolan.

SCARSDALE, N.Y. — Scarsdale resident Katherine Ann McCann died on Thursday, April 28. She was 78.
McCann was a teacher at the Ann Hutchinson School in Eastchester for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick McCann; and her brothers, Karl Berger, Jr. and James Berger.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Poughkeepsie resident Deborah T. "Debbie" Shaffer died on Sunday, May 1. She was 47.
She was born on Sept.26, 1968, in Manhattan to Peter and Margaret Waldron Clifford.
Shaffer worked as a central service technician at Kingston Hospital.
She married Alfred F. Shaffer, Jr. on April 18, 1987.

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. — Tarrytown resident Sister Joan Regis Catherwood, died on Monday, May 2. She was 88.
She was born Joan M. Catherwood in Brooklyn, N.Y., on May 6, 1927, to William and Suzette Tuohy Catherwood.
She entered the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary in Tarrytown in 1949.
She spent 21 years in education at Marymount, Rome, Italy; at Marymount College, Tarrytown; at St. Lawrence School, North Miami Beach, Fla.; and Marymount School of New York.
She spent a year in Vietnam with Catholic War Relief Services and for 20 years worked as a paralegal in the New York City area.

RYE, N.Y. — Rye resident Irene Hartigan died on Friday, April 29. She was 81.
Hartigan graduated from Roosevelt High School in Yonkers in 1952 and worked as a legal secretary for Day, Berry, and Howard Law Firm in Stamford, Conn.

YONKERS, N.Y. — Lifetime Yonkers resident Fannie "Chicky" Chirurgi (Tocco) died on Tuesday, May 3. She was 88.
She is survived by her children Robert Chirurgi and his wife, Susan, and Dr. Roger Chirurgi and his wife, Margherita; her sister Bella DeRuggierio; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Enzo Chirurgi, son, Joseph "GaGa" Chirurgi, brother Peter Tocco and sister Angela D'Eufemia.
