46-Year-Old Man Hit, Killed By Metro-North Train Near Station In Stratford STRATFORD, Conn. — The man hit by a commuter train near the Stratford station early Friday afternoon has died, Metro-North has confirmed. Metro-North spokesman Nancy Gamerman said the man was struck and killed by the 10:34 a.m. train out of Grand Central. The accident happened at the Stratford train station at about 12:09 p.m., she said.  Metro-North is not releasing the man's name until his family is notified, but Gamerman said he was a 46-year-old Stratford area resident, according to the Connecticut Post.
