'Intoxicated' Mom Arrested After Child's Call, Fairfield Police Say FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A 37-year-old Fairfield woman was charged with two counts of risk of injury to and impairing the morals of a minor Sunday evening, when her 9-year-old daughter called police and said her mother had fallen and hit her head, police said. A dispatcher who received the 6:40 p.m. call had instructed the children to go outside and wait for police officers. The girls’ father, who lives in the home, was not there. Bridgeport Man Tells Officer He Shot Up Before Fairfield Crash, Police Say FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Bridgeport man was charged in a November car accident, in which he told police he had injected himself with heroin just before the crash, police said Monday. Jose Natal, 60, of Monroe Street, was arrested on a warrant in Bridgeport and transported to Fairfield in connection with the Nov. 4 incident, police said.
