Naugatuck Woman Arrested On Drug Charge In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A 23-year-old Naugatuck woman was arrested for possession of narcotics after police saw her driving erratically on Tunxis Hill Road Sunday, police said. An officer stopped Jessimar Rodriguez, of Wisteria Drive, on Kings Highway East after he saw her nearly collide with another vehicle around 11:30 p.m.. police said. Rodriguez submitted to a breathalyzer test and blew a .164, more than twice the legal limit, police said. Two 17-Year-Old Girls Charged With Shoplifting In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Two 17-year-old Fairfield girls were arrested Saturday, after they attempted to steal about $668 worth of merchandise from Kohl’s on Tunxis Hill Road, police said. The girls hid items, mostly cosmetics, in backpacks in the 7:30 p.m. incident, police said. But a store loss prevention officer was watching them because they had previously attempted to shoplift in the store, police said. Each girl was charged with fifth-degree larceny and was scheduled to appear in juvenile court on Sept. 26, police said.

Man With 41 Prior Arrests Nabbed In Fairfield, Police Say FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Bridgeport man with 41 prior arrests was arrested Sept. 16 after Fairfield police said he was caught on surveillance video stealing two bikes and a weed whacker from a Moody Avenue garage. Jorge Ramirez, 54, of Summit Street, was charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny in the April 28 incident, police said. Police Save Snagged Stag At Fairfield University FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Officers from Fairfield Animal Control and the state Department of Energy & Environmental Protection were called into action Monday morning when a large buck got his antlers stuck in a soccer goal on a playing field at Fairfield University.
