A 68-year-old worker was seriously injured after falling from a ladder and hitting his head in Hackensack over the weekend, police said. The incident happened at 10:23 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, near Prospect Avenue and Spring Valley Avenue, according to Hackensack Police Capt. Darrin DeWitt. The man was on a ladder attempting to cut an old telephone wire when he slipped and fell approximately eight feet, striking his head on the ground and losing consciousness, DeWitt said.
