Newark Man Arrested In Deadly Chick-fil-A Shooting In Union, Prosecutor Says
An arrest has been made in a deadly shooting inside a Chick-fil-A in Union Township that left a 23-year-old man dead and others wounded last month, authorities said.
Jaheed Fields, 20, of Newark, was taken into custody on Friday, May 1, in connection with the Saturday April 11 shooting at the Route 22 restaurant, Union County Prosecutor William Daniel said.
Fields is charged with murder, six counts of attempted murder, unlawful possession of a handgun, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Flags in Glen Rock will be lowered to half-staff this weekend as the borough mourns former Council President Teresa Gilbreath, who died Saturday, April 25, at 66.
The borough announced her death on Wednesday, April 29, calling it a “deep sorrow.”

Hackensack Cop Faked Military Records To Get Paid Leave: Prosecutor
A Hackensack police officer is accused of faking a military background in order to obtain paid leave totaling more than $18,000, authorities said.
Forrod Bonsu, 31, of Hackensack, was arrested on Wednesday, April 29, following a joint investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Hackensack Police Department, according to a release from Prosecutor Mark Musella.
