Children's Bike Rodeo Instills Safety In White Plains WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The Westchester Cycle Club wants to instill the love of bicycling in young people with a free bike rodeo Sunday, June 5 in White Plains. Instructors from the League of American Bicyclists will show children how to safely ride while also helping them to improve their bike handling skills.  The day’s events will include bike safety checks, slalom courses and slow races. Stratford BOE Formally Passes Center School To Town Council STRATFORD, Conn. -- The former Center School's future will be determined by Statford's Town Council, the Board of Education decided in a vote Tuesday, according to the Stratford Star. The 4-3 vote means Mayor John Harkins and Stratford government officials can turn the former school into a "transit-oriented development" as has been expressed, said the Stratford Star.
