Hackettstown Man Airlifted After Struck By Mercedes: Police A 62-year-old man was seriously injured after he was struck by a vehicle on Sunday, March 8, authorities said. At 8:21 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Madison Avenue after the man was struck in the roadway, while not in the crosswalk, by a Mercedes driven by a 19-year-old Brooklyn man, Hackettstown police said. The 62-year-old suffered serious injuries and was transported to Hackettstown Medical Center and was then flown to Morristown Medical Center, police said. The crash remains under investigation by the Hackettstown Police Department Detective Bureau, police said.

Man Charged With Manslaughter In Deadly Millville Stabbing: Prosecutor A 41-year-old Millville man has been charged in the deadly stabbing of Detyren Hatch, a 35-year-old Millville man, authorities announced Friday, March 6. Benny Dixon stabbed Hatch at Hatch's residence on East Broad Street on Millville on Monday, Feb. 16, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said.  Hatch was transported to Inspira Medical Center in Vineland where he was pronounced dead, Webb-McRae said. Dixon is charged with manslaughter and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, Webb-McRae said.
