Woman Struck, Killed By Vehicle On Route 9 In Manalapan: Prosecutor A 72-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Manalapan on Tuesday, April 7, authorities said. At 10:56 p.m., Manalapan police responded to Route 9 South after a 2018 Nissan Frontier travelling in the left lane struck Deborah Ross, propelling her to the right shoulder of the roadway, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said.  Ross was pronounced dead soon after, Santiago said. The driver remained on the scene, Santiago said. The crash remains under investigation, Santiago said.

Gina Vasfailo, a Kenilworth resident, died on Tuesday, April 7 at the age of 49 after battling colon cancer, according to her obituary from the Mastapeter Funeral Homes website Vasfailo was the mother of Frankie Vasfailo IV, a 16-year-old high school sophomore.
