Person Dies After Removed From Water In Asbury Park: Police A person died after being removed from the water in Asbury Park Saturday, April 25, authorities said. At 7:35 p.m., officers and firefighters responded to the beach area near the 800 block of Ocean Avenue for a possible drowning, Asbury Park police said. Upon arrival, civilians were attempting life saving measures to a person removed from the water, police said. The person, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead, police said. The cause of death is pending an autopsy, police said. The incident remains under investigation, police said.
