A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

5 Hurt After NJ Transit Bus Hits Pedestrian In East Orange Five people were injured after a bus struck a pedestrian early Wednesday morning, Aug. 27, in East Orange, authorities said. At 12:11 a.m., an NJ Transit bus operating on the 94 line from Bloomfield to Irvington hit a female pedestrian at South Clinton Street and Norwood Place, NJ Transit officials said. The pedestrian and four customers on board the bus were taken to a nearby hospital, NJ Transit said.  East Orange police are leading the investigation, NJ Transit said.

EHT Man Speeding When He Struck, Killed 13-Year-Old: Prosecutor A 71-year-old Egg Harbor Township man was charged with vehicular homicide after he struck and killed a 13-year-old Pleasantville boy, authorities announced Tuesday, Aug. 26. On Saturday, May 17 at 2:20 p.m., Gary Battisti struck a 13-year-old boy while driving on Delaware Avenue in Egg Harbor Township, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.  The 13-year-old, who was not identified, was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, authorities said. Battisti was traveling at an excessive speed at the time of the crash, authorities said.

7-Year-Old Shoots Himself: Newark PD A 7-year-old boy was hospitalized after shooting himself in the hand in Newark on Monday, Aug. 25, authorities said. At 10:50 a.m., police responded Newark Beth Israel Medical Center on a call of a 7-year-old boy arriving there with his parent for treatment of a self-inflicted gunshot injury to the hand, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda said. The incident occurred at a residence in the 300 block of Clinton Place, where the child located a family member’s firearm, Miranda said.  The incident remains under investigation, Miranda said.
