Saratoga Man Sexually Abused Girl Under Age 13: Authorities
A Capital Region man has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a child under age 13, authorities announced Tuesday, March 31.
Dana Day, a 66-year-old Saratoga Springs man, was arraigned on a count of first-degree sexual abuse, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said.
The sheriff began investigating on Saturday, Feb. 28, after refusing an abuse/neglect complaint, authorities said. The alleged abuse occurred in Milton in September 2020 and involved a girl who was less than 13 years old at the time, cops said.

A New York man admitted to drunkenly running over two Walmart employees and killing one of them in a confrontation last year, authorities said Wednesday, April 1.
Timothy Besaw, 34, copped to one count of aggravated vehicular homicide and one count of first-degree vehicular assault, the Saratoga County District Attorney’s office said.
Besaw, a Gansevoort resident, plowed through Michael Bushey, 69, outside the Walmart in Wilton on Oct. 16, 2025, authorities said. Bushey died about three weeks later from his injuries.

Ishmiel Harrison, 28, will serve seven years behind bars followed by five years of probation, the Albany County District Attorney’s office said.

A Long Island fraudster made 110 illegal transactions from Chase Bank accounts to steal $55,000, police said Friday, April 3.
Paras Javed, 26-year-old Baldwin man, was arrested Thursday, April 2 and hit with numerous charges, the Nassau County Police Department said.
Javed contacted Chase customer service and claimed to be an account holder on multiple occasions, then changed the victims’ mailing addresses to his own and ordered debit cards, cops said. The scheme began in November 2025 and continued into January 2026, according to investigators.
