Ted Dickson, of Waterford, crashed his 2019 Infiniti Q50 on the Exit 6 off-ramp around 7:40 a.m. Saturday, March 7, according to state police. Investigators said the cause of the crash remains unclear. Police said Dickson struck four road signs before the vehicle came to rest near the tree line along the shoulder. Ameer Nasir, 25, of Trumbull, pleaded guilty to wire fraud in federal court in Bridgeport last week, the US Attorney for the District of Connecticut announced. Vernon Man Gets 30 Years For Sexually Assaulting Child For Years A Connecticut man with a history of abusing children will spend the next three decades in prison after admitting he sexually assaulted a child for years. Hernan Ayala, 34, of Vernon, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for sexual assault in the first degree and risk of injury to a minor,  Tolland Judicial District State’s Attorney Craig P. Nowak said.
