Linda Callahan, the wife of former New Jersey State Police Superintendent Colonel Patrick Callahan, died Monday, Jan. 12, just weeks after her husband’s retirement, according to her obituary shared by Cochran Funeral Home.
A nurse, mother, and grandmother known for her deep faith and lifelong service to others, Callahan died at home surrounded by her family, funeral home officials said. She was 57.

Terry Woolard, the principal of Hillside High School, died on Monday, Dec. 29, the school district said.
"This is truly heartbreaking news, and. this loss is deeply felt throughout our school community," Hillside Public Schools said in a statement. "Mr. Woolard was a dedicated leader whose commitment to students, families, staff, and colleagues made a lasting and meaningful impact. He will be deeply missed. Our thoughts are with his family."

David Romanski, a longtime North Jersey resident known for his career in auto sales and devotion to his family, died on Friday, Dec. 12. He was 53 years old.
