A 52-year-old New Jersey man has been charged in connection with a shooting that left a woman injured prompting a town-wide shelter-in-place on Tuesday, Dec. 31,2024, authorities said. Daniel Williams, of Allentown, is facing charges of first-degree attempted murder, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and multiple weapons offenses, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. A 19-year-old Jersey City resident and an 18-year-old Bayonne resident were arrested and charged on Sunday, Dec. 22 after they were found to be in possession of drugs and guns in Bayonne, authorities said. Woman Brandished Knife At Walmart: Secaucus PD
A 57-year-old Jersey City woman was arrested and charged after she brandished a knife at a Walmart in Secaucus on the evening of Friday, Dec. 13, authorities said. At 10:59 p.m., officers responded to Walmart at 400 Park Plaza Dr. and found that Josephine Melendez brandished a folding knife and made threats during a verbal altercation, Secaucus police said. Melendez was charged with terroristic threats, multiple weapons offenses and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.

A fugitive arrested in Florida was accused of shooting a friend outside a Camden restaurant, leaving the victim with a wound near his spine, authorities said. Edwin Facenda Suriel, 46, was wanted in connection with the Sunday, Nov. 17 incident at El Conuco, a restaurant on Marlton Avenue in Camden, according to a criminal complaint. Burlington Township Man Kills Cellmate In Jail: Prosecutor
A Burlington Township man has been charged with killing his cellmate inside the Burlington County Jail, authorities said. Rondale Holloman, 37, killed Kenneth Bulle, 74, of Mount Holly, in the early morning hours of Nov. 14, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw announced. Corrections officers discovered that Holloman had attacked Bulle, who was pronounced dead at the facility, Bradshaw said. A 49-year-old Kearny man was arrested and charged after a stabbing on Friday, Oct. 18 left a man with life-threatening injurie, authorities said. Officers apprehended William Krebs following the stabbing on Quincy Avenue near Maple Street, Kearny police said.
