Clarkstown Community Rallies Behind Teen Firefighter Hospitalized With Flu The community is coming together in support of a teenage New City Fire Department volunteer who has fallen critically ill after contracting the flu. A GoFundMe fundraising campaign was started by Clarkstown High School North football coach Joseph Trongone on behalf of 19-year-old Clarkstown resident Willy McCue, who contracted the flu and has since been hospitalized with complications. He was born Oct.15, 1984 and graduated from University of Vermont, where he studied economics, philosophy and Afro-Cuban percussion. During and after college, Ari played with musical groups, such as Rubblebucket, and performed at renowned venues including Blue Note Jazz Club New York. Dean, a Sparrowbush nurse who works for Orange County Regional Medical Center, had volunteered to go to Houston and help out.
