An ambulance went up in flames during the busy morning commute in a Westchester County village, disrupting traffic in the process. The fire began in Pelham on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at around 7:30 a.m., when an ambulance blaze was reported in the area of Wolf's Lane and Franklin Place near Pelham Middle School, according to the Village of Pelham Fire Department. A vehicle fire closed part of PA Route 611, Doylestown police announced on Monday evening, Oct. 7. The fire was reported on North Route 611 at 4:55 p.m., according to the police.
