Thurmont Driver Dead, Passenger Airlifted After Dump Truck Crash In Maryland, Sheriff Says
A 78-year-old Maryland man was killed when his SUV was struck by a dump truck at a Frederick County intersection, authorities said.
Willie Hensley Jr., of Thurmont, was driving a 2015 Toyota Highlander around 9 a.m. Thursday, June 5, when he attempted to turn south onto Old Frederick Road from Devilbiss Bridge Road in Lewistown, according to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.
That’s when Hensley’s vehicle entered the path of a northbound 1999 Mack dump truck, leading to a violent crash, officials said.

An 89-year-old Somerville woman was killed in a crash on Route 22 in Bridgewater on Monday, June 2, authorities said.
At 3:20 p.m., officers responded to the collision on Route 22 Westbound near the Bridgewater Acura Dealership, Bridgewater police said. A 2009 Hyundai Sonata, driven by a 90-year-old Somerville man, was traveling westbound on Route 22 in the center lane of travel when it drifted onto the right shoulder and struck a 2009 Chevrolet shuttle bus that was parked and disabled on the right shoulder, police said.

A 28-year-old mother of two was killed in a motorcycle crash on Long Island, Suffolk County Police announced on Sunday, June 1.
Brenda Ingraham, of Farmingville, was riding a 2018 Kawasaki Ninja northbound on Blue Point Road when a southbound 2018 Ford Explorer attempted to turn left onto Pinedale Avenue, colliding with her around 1:17 p.m., police said.
Ingraham was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The SUV’s driver, Thomas Biglow, 38, of Patchogue, was treated for minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
