George Pettit, Dentist In Ridgefield For Decades, Dies At 75 A longtime Ridgefield dentist who volunteered at a dental clinic in Honduras has died. Gordon G. Pettit, Jr. who practiced dentistry in Ridgefield for 32 years, died Thursday, May 23 at Danbury Hospital after a long battle with prostate cancer. He was 75. Dr. Pettit graduated from Northwestern University Dental School and joined his father in his dental practice in Ridgefield. He was born in New London on Aug. 5, 1943. Toy Christiansen was arrested Wednesday after police responded to the Crush Sports Bar, 1015 Bridgeport Ave., for a report of property damage, said Milford Officer Joseph Dempsey. When officers arrived on the scene they found that Christiansen, a Seymour resident, had damaged the window after falling into it, he said.
