22,000+ NJ Residents Without Power, Severe Thunderstorm Watch Remains In Effect
Thousands of New Jersey residents were without power after a round of powerful afternoon storms swept through the region.
The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for much of the region through 11 p.m., and that comes after a round of quarter-sized hail and gusty winds.
As of 5:25 p.m., the following areas were without power:

Whipping winds approaching 70 mph are possible along with a chance of a tornado, hail, and flash flooding potentially hitting some parts of Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia on Monday, Aug. 14, forecasters are advising.

More Than 15,000 Still Without Power Following Damaging Storms In Maryland
Thousands in Maryland remain in the dark days after severe storms left extensive damage and flooding in parts of the state.
As of 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug 9, Baltimore Gas and Electric was still working to repair 1,034 active outages that were impacting 15,067 of the company's 1,340,384 Maryland customers.

Tornado May Have Touched Down In These PA, NJ Towns
A tornado may have hit Lehigh Valley and Delaware River towns Monday, Aug. 7.
The National Weather Service sent survey teams to evaluate an area west of Milford in New Jersey, as well as areas in eastern Allentown, western Bethlehem, and Hellertown/Coopersburg in Pennsylvania.
