One person is in the hospital after a fire ripped through a duplex in Cumberland County on Tuesday night, Nov. 5, according to Northeast Fire and Rescue. The blaze broke out in the three-story duplex located in the 200 block of Wyoming Avenue in East Pennsboro Township at 10:52 p.m., officials explained. The 5-year-old boy who fell into the Connecticut River in Middlesex County last week while kayaking has died, authorities said. Jaxon Podbielski, of Higganum, was kayaking with an adult and fell into the water around 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, Oct 26, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said. A firefighter fell through a floor during the response to a blaze at a Northern Westchester residence.
